Why would I want to change the width of the front axle?

This is a unique feature of the Nitro Glide. You can narrow the axle to 16 inches to easily navigate through narrow doorways and tight indoor corners. When you go outside, you can widen it to 20 inches to provide a more stable base on uneven sidewalks or pavement, significantly reducing the risk of tipping.

Is the braking system better than a standard knee scooter?

Yes. Most knee scooters use a basic "rubbing" brake against the wheel. The Nitro Glide uses integrated disc brakes, which are much more responsive and provide smoother, more reliable stopping power. It also features a push-button parking brake to keep the unit stationary when you're getting on or off.

Will the knee pad work for both my left and right leg?

Absolutely. The padded leg support is reversible and offset. This means you can flip it to match whichever leg is injured. The offset design is particularly helpful because it keeps the pad further away from your "pushing" leg, preventing you from accidentally kicking the frame as you move.

How do I know if this will fit my height?

The Nitro Glide is highly adjustable. The handlebars adjust from 30 to 39 inches, and the knee pad adjusts from 17 to 23 inches. Generally, this range accommodates users between approximately 5'3" and 6'5".

Can I use this on different types of ground?

The Nitro Glide is built for versatility. It has large 10-inch front wheels that roll easily over indoor flooring and outdoor obstacles like small cracks or bumps. When paired with the wide-axle setting, it is one of the most stable options for outdoor use.

Does it require tools for assembly or adjustments?

Most adjustments, including handle and knee pad height, are completely tool-free. The frame itself is designed for quick assembly and features a simple folding mechanism, making it convenient if you need to frequently put it in the car for doctor appointments.
