After spending at least 2.5 hours going from one pharmacy to another looking for great quality compression socks, a customer in the pharmacy that I was at at that moment, heard me mumbling to myself by the small collection of compression socks in that store! We spoke for a moment and she told me to go to Copper Star Home Medical Supplies NE corner of Power and Southern in Mesa! After profusely thanking her, I was on my way! When I saw the Copper Star store I felt so relieved! I opened the door and was greeted by a lovely lady, she asked what I was looking for and I told her what I needed and within five minutes she was measuring me for the right size socks, making sure I was happy with the socks and told me how to care for them! Great service, and a pleasure to sit and have someone decide what I needed! Thank you to the lady in the pharmacy and thank you to the lady in Copper Star! Blessings to you both! Jana C. My name is Jay Kahe’e and I wanted to sincerely thank the entire Cooper Star Medical Home Supplies staff involved with helping us obtain a mobility scooter for my dad James. Dad suffered a stroke a few years back and has mobility issues. We were able to get a scooter for him initially, but it was whatever we could find and of lower quality. There are very few options available in Hawai’i and fewer that actually ship to Hawai’i. When my wife and I took a trip to Arizona to drop our daughter off to college, we decided to stop and see if it was possible to find a scooter and have it shipped home for dad. That’s when we visited the store in Surprise Az. There we saw a very well kept store and a great lineup of quality scooters to chose from. There we met Candace and another worker(forgive me for not remembering her name). There were very nice. Not pushy or Sales’s, but very knowledgeable and helped us choose a scooter for dad. I then inquired about shipping to Hawai’i and Candace mentioned that this was something that they never did before but would look into it. We walked the strip mall outside for about 35 minutes when Candace called us to let us know that she spoke to Home office and it is possible. We were overjoyed upon hearing that. We had to head back to Phoenix but she kept in constant contact with us to ensure we were informed on everything and completed the sale over the phone. The communication continued for the next month and a half when we received the scooter here in Hawai’i. Needless to say, Dad was elated when seeing his new scooter and you could see his energy surge knowing that he can get around now. We can’t thank you all enough in helping us make this happen for us and our Dad. Candace did mention that being in Hawai’i there are no service options available. This is one of many problems living on and island in the middle of the ocean. But I am considering working to get qualified to do repairs on these scooters if that’s possible. My wife and I are also interested in potentially becoming a Pride scooter provider here in the islands to help other seniors and people with mobility issues increase their quality of life. I had a fantastic experience with Copper Star Home Medical Supplies in Mesa, AZ! The staff was incredibly friendly and professional, and Denise was absolutely great to work with throughout the entire process. We rented a wheelchair for a trial, and the experience was super convenient. The storefront itself is huge, clean, and smells great (random to note, but completely true!). If you need to rent or buy a wheelchair, scooter, crutches, or any other medical equipment, this is absolutely your place. As a wonderful bonus, they even carry thoughtful gift items like blankets and stuffed animals for anyone recovering. I highly recommend them!
