Who is the "Petite" model designed for?

The STAR HD Petite is optimized for users approximately 4'11" to 5'5" tall. Because the legs are adjustable, you can set the seat height at 18, 19, or 20 inches from the floor, ensuring your feet rest flat while you are seated.

How wide is the seat compared to standard rollators?

This model features an extra-wide 18.5-inch seat, which is about 4 inches wider than standard lightweight rollators. This, combined with the 22-inch width between the handles, provides a more spacious and comfortable fit for larger users.

Does it stay folded on its own?

Yes. Unlike many walkers that flop open when you try to lift them, this model uses a Lock & Lift pin. Once you fold the walker using the built-in handle, the pin clicks into place to keep it compact and manageable for storage.

Are the brakes easy to use?

The STAR HD Petite features Feather Touch locking hand brakes. They require very little pressure to engage—you simply squeeze to slow down or push down on the handles to lock them into a "parked" position for sitting.

What is the benefit of the built-in curb pedals?

Located next to the rear wheels, these small pedals allow you to use your foot to tilt the front wheels upward. This makes it much easier to clear small curbs or door thresholds without having to lift the entire weight of the rollator.

Does it come with storage for my personal items?

It includes a large under-seat storage pouch that keeps your belongings hidden and secure. The seat flips up easily to give you access to the pouch, which is roomy enough for a purse, oxygen tank, or small groceries.

You’re right — here’s the corrected version without adding a name: I had an outstanding experience at Copper Star. The gentleman who helped me was efficient, knowledgeable, personable, and genuinely helpful from start to finish. He did everything in his power to make sure I understood all of my options, and I never felt rushed or pressured. I originally came in to purchase a wheeled walker, but I also had questions about hospital beds for home use, bathroom safety devices, mobility assistance, and several other items I had not even thought about yet. He was incredibly helpful with pricing, and his knowledge of insurance made the entire process much easier to understand. I am extremely pleased with my decision to go the distance to this company because they go the distance. I live near Thomas and I-17, so it was not exactly around the corner, but the distance traveled was absolutely worth the time and effort. Copper Star Medical clearly cares about helping people, and I will definitely come back again.

Visited this location on Saturday 6/13 at 1pm because Mayo Supply store is closed on Saturdays???!!! The young man who helped me was super helpful and friendly! He is a great asset to the location. The website says they close at 1pm but there’s a sign on the door advising of their new hours (thankfully) til 3pm. Ample supplies and plenty of new items I had not heard of. Prices are good! I recommend this location.

My husband and I planned a trip to Phoenix for our granddaughters graduation from ASU’S Law School. We are both handicap and needed a walker and wheelchair. I looked on the internet for a medical store with good reviews and saw Copper Star Home Medical Supplies. I gave them a call, they had what I needed, I ordered them for the week. They had them ready for our granddaughter to pickup on the day we arrived in Phoenix. Copper Star made it easy for us!!! They are very nice people.
