Standard transport chairs typically use 8-inch wheels all around. The 12-inch rear wheels on this model provide better leverage and a smoother roll over bumps, "absorb" more vibration, and make it much easier for a caregiver to push the chair over outdoor surfaces like grass or thick carpet.

The NOVA 19″ Steel Transport Chair with 12″ Rear Wheels is a rugged and dependable choice for those who need extra stability and a smoother ride. While steel frames are slightly heavier than aluminum, they offer a sturdy feel and a high value for the price. The standout feature is the oversized 12-inch rear wheels, which glide over bumps and uneven surfaces much more comfortably than standard 8-inch wheels, making this an excellent “all-terrain” transport option for outdoor outings and medical appointments.
